Student Activity Center (SAC) is a student body established in the year 2018 which aims to support, develop and promote student activities at IIIT Naya Raipur. Its functions include the supervision of all clubs, under SAC, as well as management of all technical, science, sports, cultural, arts, literary activities taking place at IIIT Naya Raipur.

The current SAC body has the following members: President of SAC (a faculty mentor), two UG Representatives, two Science and Technology Representatives, two Arts, Cultural and Literary Representatives and two Sports Representatives.

Currently there are 6 clubs under Science and Technology wing, 7 clubs under Arts, Cultural and Literary wing and 9 clubs under Sports wing.

One of the prime objectives of SAC is to enhance the aesthetic, inventive, artistic, intellectual and social development of the undergraduates and to give the undergraduates of IIIT Naya Raipur opportunities and exposure by promoting and organizing intra-college as well as inter-college events and annual techno-cultural fest, Technovate. SAC is devoted to present and enhance the club culture of IIIT Naya Raipur.

Events

●    Hack-a-Sol: HACK-A-SOL is a pan India Hackathon organized by Technical clubs of IIIT Naya Raipur in collaboration with SAC . It is a social coding event that brings computer programmers and other interested people together to improve upon or build a new software program. The word hackathon is a portmanteau of the words hacker, which means clever programmer, and marathon, an event marked by endurance. The topic of this event range from AIML to Bloackchain. GET! SET! CODE!.

●    Scintfic: It is a science and technology showcase and exhibition aimed at school students across the nation.It boosts the students enthusiasm to learn about the latest advancements and innovations in the modern world.It projects a positive image of the technology in their minds by empowering them to develop strategic use case to solve real-world problems.

●    Aarambh: A two-day intra-college sports fest "Aarambh" was organized by the students of IIIT-NR. The main objective of conducting "Aarambh" is to create a sporting culture in the college and to inculcate sportsmanship among the students.Various sports competitions like cricket, football, table-tennis, volleyball, basketball, badminton and chess are conducted, where members from different groups competes, to increase their group points.

●    Technovate: Technovate is the burst of enthusiasm and young energy in the form of IIIT NR’s techno-cultural fest. The third edition of central India’s fest Technovate, witnessed thousands of visitors and participants from all over the country. Days in Technovate are packed with leisure of entertainment and zeal of upcoming technical ideas. It provides an excellent opportunity to brush up your skills or find new talents to invest upon and obviously find the lost energy of youth back on the right spots of responsibilities and fun. Technovate is the right place to meet new people and bond with them in the colorful shades of friendships which will make you finally end up with lifelong memories. This year Technovate will again find its warm breath in your soon to be revered ideas and active participation. At the end you will be left thinking, “Let the wait be small and the meeting be long next time!”
